V tradicionalni kitajski medicini je Cynomorium Songaricum štel za blago, a hkrati intenzivno "jing" zdravilo. Ohranja zdravo kri in ledvica ter krepi tetive. Uporabljali so ga tudi za lajšanje bolečin v hrbtenici in zdravljenje impotence.
